Get your wine cooler and pantry ready, because here we go:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is pairing?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pairing involves finding the right drink for each dish in order to enhance them or, at least, be a good match. This culinary science studies the <strong>flavours, textures,<\/strong> and even the <strong>cooking methods<\/strong> to choose that drink which will point to the best properties of the recipe. Take it step by step: start with <strong>local<\/strong> wines and then broaden your horizons (and grapes). Or, try creating a menu and choosing a wine to match each of your dishes.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Young red wine<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are very versatile for pairing. We are going a bit further with flavour here, both with wine and type of dishes to pair with it. This wine matches with <strong>deli meats<\/strong> like Ib\u00e9rico ham. It is the classic wine we can identify by its deep red colour and its wood aroma, partly due to its maturation in oak barrels. Try not to store these bottles in the fridge, it is very difficult to control the temperature in those conditions\u2014unless you have an integrated wine cooler in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teka.com\/en-bh\/product\/rlf-85950-gbk_113430074\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fridge.<\/a> You may think temperature is not important, but you will definitely notice the difference when you take the very first sip.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vegetarian and vegan options<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We often wrongly think that vegetarian and <a href=\"https:\/\/cookinglovers.teka.com\/en\/collections\/different-ideas-for-a-vegan-barbecue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vegan<\/a> dishes are not very filling. Well, we are wrong. If you\u2019re a sushi lover, a sparkling wine pairs wonderfully\u2014the bubbles help cleanse the palate, making <strong>Prosecco<\/strong> an excellent choice. As you might expect, Lambrusco goes very well with pizza but also with roasted vegetables.
