The brand has sponsored sports since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teka.com\/en-om\/inspiration\/emotions\/history-of-teka-sponsorship-in-sports-handball\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1975<\/a> and expanded its sponsorship to <strong>motorcycling<\/strong> competitions and teams at the beginning of the new century. Teka focused on <strong>motocross<\/strong> and <strong>Moto2<\/strong>\u2014an intermediate category in the <strong>World Championship<\/strong> and one of the most important competitions, featuring <strong>765cc<\/strong> motorcycles. <strong>AGR<\/strong> was the team that proudly displayed the brand logo in this last competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teka\u2019s FIM Motocross World Championship\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teka started his adventure into the world of motorcycling in 2008 with the sponsorship of the <strong>Suzuki motocross team<\/strong>. They became one of the most honoured teams that year. In this way, the brand decided to lend its support, extending its close collaboration with sports. But this step into motocross also proved to be an excellent way to introduce the mark to the public in Northern European countries since Teka was already well-known in Germany, Portugal, or Spain. At that time, the <strong>Teka Suzuki WMX1<\/strong> teams included names like <strong>Steve Ramon<\/strong> and <strong>Ken de Dycker<\/strong>. In 2009 and 2010, the brand became one of the main sponsors in the <strong>FIM Motocross World Championship<\/strong> in the <strong>MX1 and MX2<\/strong> categories. The well-known international competition had a significant number of followers worldwide, making it a perfect showcase for sports and sponsor brands, especially in Central and Northern Europe. The competition takes place in different countries and has wide TV coverage, making motocross one of the most exciting sports to watch.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teka enters Moto2 in 2012 through AGR Team<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teka joined the <strong>Moto2<\/strong> premier competition by sponsoring <strong>AGR<\/strong> (Argui\u00f1ano and Gin\u00e9s Racing Team), owned by Karlos Argui\u00f1ano. Born out of a passion for motorcycling, Gin\u00e9s Guirado, a mechanic for more than 20 years of pilots like <strong>Jorge Mart\u00ednez \u201cAspar\u201d<\/strong> or <strong>\u00c1ngel Nieto<\/strong>, joined forces with Karlos Argui\u00f1ano, a chef from the Basque country. Together, they focused on finding young talents for the team with a promising future. In 2012, AGR successfully started its road to the best competitions and reached the Moto2 category of the <strong>Motorcycle World Championship<\/strong> with Teka\u2019s sponsorship.
