Why does washing the glasses come out white?
It can be mainly due to two reasons:
- Try cleaning the glasses with vinegar. If they recover their normal status, it is most likely due to improper adjustment of the softener.
- If the whitish coloration cannot be removed, it means that there has been a corrosion of the glass. In this case, the damage to the crystal is permanent.
The origin of this coloration is in the composition of the crystal. It deteriorates as a result of high temperature washes and dishwasher detergents. There are protective glass products that help reduce or eliminate this effect.
